National parks are some of the natural treasures of this world. Millions to billions of people every year take the time to go see some of these amazing landscapes for themselves. However, some places get more traffic from tourists than others do. Today, we’re talking about a somewhat overlooked national park with medium traffic. So, let’s talk about why Bryce Canyon is worth a visit.
Bryce Canyon National Park is a rather unique national park in the United States of America. Nowhere else on planet Earth can you find the rock formation known as the “hoodoo.” It is an eroded sandstone pinnacle which slowly becomes thinner over time until they completely collapse.
Bryce Canyon gets lots of foot traffic thanks to Utah’s major 5 national parks advertising campaign. It’s also extremely close by one of the more highly trafficked national parks in the US: Zion. It’s about a half hour to 45 minutes drive away so many tourists want to visit both parks on the same trip.
If you haven’t been to this national park, you should check it out for yourself. It’s open year-round (a rarity for this area of the country) even if certain portions are only accessible during warm weather. It’s an amazing view from the rim of the canyon out into the landscape below.
If you don’t believe my words, check out the place for yourself in the photos below.
I really hope I’ve convinced you that Bryce Canyon really is worth a visit. Bryce Canyon, as you can see, is an amazing and unique landscape with its red sandstone hoodoos. There’s plenty of nature trails to check out. It looks amazing no matter what season of the year it is. So, if you want to check out this national park for yourself, plan your next vacation for Southern Utah.
