Thanks to the series which has been preceding today’s article, I had to put off this announcement.  I didn’t want to break up the series on the photography merit badge.  With that series concluded, it’s time to announce a new photography award for one of my landscape photos.  It’s for a landscape photo titled ‘Presiding.’

When the email came, I found myself both surprised and delighted.  These kinds of Viewbug emails are starting to come a bit more frequently than in previous years.  I still look forward to them each and every time.

You are a rockstar, your photo Presiding was selected by one of our editors to receive a new award.

So, this time, my landscape photo titled “Presiding” received an honor.  The editors selected it to receive the Summer 2020 award.  This award might need some explaining and, thankfully, there’s plenty of explanation available for this award.

From all your photos, this one had the most traction so far this summer and has received the Summer 2020 award.

Your award is a celebration of your photography and how your creativity inspires other creators.  Photos are worth a thousand words and from your profile, this image had has the most impact recently receiving tons of love from the community.

I’m delighted to see another one of my landscape photos receiving deserved attention.  I do hope that more awards like this keep coming in.  So, I turn things over to you, reader.  What do you think of this landscape photo of mine?  Do you love it?  Do you hate it?  How about something in between the two?  Does it deserve the award it just received?  Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
