Well, I don’t know what to say about this one.  The usual excitement is there for sure.  However, I don’t usually receive photography awards back-to-back.  I’ll happily take it though.  I don’t think you missed what this announcement is about.  So, landscape photography fans.  Are you ready to see my latest award for a surprise moonset?  Let’s check it out.

As is usual, I found an email in my inbox announcing the award receipt.  It contained more language than the last several emails did about what was happening.  I include the text below, as is now traditional for me to do so.

cramerimaging,

You inspire the incredible creativity of the community!  We truly appreciate you sharing your breathtaking photos with us.  Your work fuels our passion and momentum 🙏

Your photo “Crenallations” was selected to receive a new award.

So, this time I get to know what photo received the award.  Amazingly, I also learned the name of the award too.  Viewbug included it as the sub-header in the email.  Still, I clicked on the link to learn more.  I found this information about the award.

cramerimaging, the Picture Perfect Award is an award given to photos that are technically excellent, creatively composed, and visually appealing.  This is a prestigious award that is highly sought-after by photographers of all levels and is a great way to celebrate your photograph.  It is sure to inspire and motivate photographers to continue creating beautiful and meaningful images.  Congratulations, this photo has been selected to receive this award.

According the Viewbug, this award is highly prestigious.  I still feel that they may doll out awards somewhat randomly.  However, I did notice that, as the quality of my photo uploads improved, the frequency of awards bestowed increased.  Perhaps this particular one is prestigious, but I don’t know.  Still, I’ll happily accept the award for this landscape photo.

I wanted a bright morning photo of Thor’s Hammer when I took this photo.  I achieved that shot too.  However, I couldn’t ignore the wispy pink clouds in the other direction.  The setting moon made for an interesting attempt as I waited for the sun to rise.

The award for this moonset photo was a surprise for certain.  Now, every single photo I walked away with from that day received an award.  I find that interesting.

So, what do you think of this landscape photo and its new award?  Do you love it?  Do you hate it?  Does it deserve the award it received?  Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
