Early Morning Sunrise Contest Finalist

  • 2 mins read

Hello again landscape photography fans!  I’ve got some great news!  Perhaps you’ve already guessed what I have to say.  Another one of my landscape photos received an award!  Yep, that’s right.  An early morning sunrise landscape photo of mine just received an award.  Keep reading here and I’ll tell you more about it.

So, once I was done with my surprise, I did a happy dance.  Here’s the email language which caused me such joy.

Hi cramerimaging,

Your photo is a finalist in the Early Mornings Photo Contest.

The email text really is just that short and simple.  While this isn’t my first contest finalist announcement, it is the first in a while.  The included link merely takes me to the page featuring my photo on Viewbug.

Usually, when I receive these announcements, I learn that there’s at least a couple hundred or so finalists.  This means that my chances of doing well in the final round are significantly low.  Still, it is a shot.  However, this time, I received an email a couple days later with their blog post link announcing all the finalists to the public.  Curious, I clicked on the link to learn that there were a mere 34 finalists in the “Early Mornings” photo contest.

While I still don’t hold my breath (having scrolled through all the finalists myself), my chances of placing are higher.  My early morning sunrise landscape photo titled “Potato Sunrise” stands a small chance of actually winning the contest.  If it does, expect another announcement.  If not, then you won’t hear any followup.

So, what do you think of this early morning sunrise photo?  Do you like it?  Do you hate it?  Does it deserve the contest finalist status it just received?  Please leave your thoughts in the comments section below.  I’d really love to read your feedback on the matter.
