‘Potato Sunrise’ is a Contest Finalist

  • 2 mins read

It seems like just a week ago when I was announcing an award for one of my landscape photos.  Oh wait, it was.  Well, I received another email announcement for another landscape photo award.  These things seem to come in clusters.  Here’s to hoping that there’s another email coming soon.  Anyways, on to this week’s landscape photography award.

The email announcement for this award was very simple and straightforward.  I’ll include the text for you.

Congratulations : )
Hi cramerimaging,

Your photo is a finalist in the Social Exposure Photo Contest Vol 28.

There really isn’t much else needing to be said.  I did click on the link to learn which photo it was since that information was not included in the email.  There was no further description of the award given upon clicking the link.  I was surprised and delighted, however, to learn that the finalist is a photo which I’ve recently come to call “Potato Sunrise.”  It depicts a glorious sunrise over a flowering potato field in Idaho.

I’m ecstatic to have my 4th contest finalist and also that the photo isn’t “Sun Dance” this time.  I love that photo but other photos need love too.

I’m not holding my breath on winning or placing any higher than I already have.  If I do, then I’ll be back to announce that wonderful news.  You can check out the announcement of the finalists using this link.  Mine is the 7th photo down from the top.

Tell me.  What do you think of this photo and its new contest finalist award?  Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
