The state of Utah is often considered to be America’s outdoor playground. Indeed, there’s so much to see and do in the state that even natives can’t do it all. 1 thing which makes Utah famous is the huge collection of natural arches in the region. You don’t often see such formations elsewhere. This high concentration brings millions of tourists every year. Indeed, 1 commonly used Utah license plate option depicts the world-famous Delicate Arch. Perhaps, while currently living in Utah at time of writing, I should delve a bit into my growing collection of Utah arch photos.

In certain social media circles, you may receive an eye roll for even mentioning the topic of Utah arches. I have experienced this for myself. However, many photos of the state are dominated by depictions of these famous rock formations, both natural and manmade. So, in my turn, I would like to feature photos of several naturally occurring Utah arches which I’ve visited. I will, of course, include famous arches as well as lesser-known arches. So, without ruther ado, please enjoy!

These arch photos are a pitifully small sampling of the hundreds of arches which Utah offers. Indeed, there are many large and impressive as well as small and unnoticed examples all over the place. Interestingly, we tend to see these formations occur in the red rocks of middle and southern Utah. Moab is particularly famous for an unusually high concentration of them, mostly in Arches National Park. However, there are plenty of other examples from other parks and parts of the state as well.

So, now it’s your turn. What do you think of my Utah arch photo collection? Will you roll your eyes at yet another arch photo from the state or do these photos leave a different impression for you? Please leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
