I really do love getting good news in email.  The good news just keeps on coming with this particular landscape photo.  If you haven’t figured out by now, I’ve got some more exciting news to share with all of you about one of my landscape photos.  Which one and what news?  ‘Sun Dance’ is a contest finalist.  Keep reading for more.

A couple of weeks ago, I received the privilege of reading an email from Viewbug.  That email told me that the judges finally selected one of my photos as a contest finalist.  I was floored and delighted.  I’m still reeling from delight.  It really feels good to know that others see my work as worthy of mention by others.  This time, I got more.

I received a similar email telling me that the judges selected the exact same photo as before, titled “Sun Dance,” as a finalist in another competition.  This time, the contest is for the image of the month.  The unique thing about these “Image of the Month” contests is that I’m only allowed to enter a photo which I uploaded during the month in question.  If I uploaded a photo in November, then I can only enter that photo into November’s Image of the Month contest.  That’s exactly what happened here.

So, now Sun Dance is a contest finalist in no less than 2 contests in which I entered it.  Both entries were within about 30 days of each other for finalist announcements.  If I win, I’ll make a point of sharing about it here so all of you can celebrate with me.
